Are rims that are corroding within a three year warranty still covered? I only have 20k miles on it 3yr's r up
I have an 05 civic coupe, I don't drive it as much. The car is taken care up and I have only serviced it at the dealership where it was purchased. I have 20k miles on it and the 3 year warranty is coming to an end next week. The wheels started corroding and they told me it was the center logo cap at first then at a better look after the part was ordered, they said the rims were. AFTER FURTHER REVIEW- they said that it was regular wear and tear so out of courtesy they will split the cost 50/50 with me and that it was most likely a chemical from the car wash that wore out the rims. I have friends that have 50k plus on their hondas and their alloy rims are still fine. Can this still be covered I think the rims are defected.
Rims are considered cosmetic, so if the factory does anything at all, you should consider yourself lucky. Good luck!
