Im Moving To Atlanta, From Jacksonville Fl?
My question im relocating from jacksonville to atlanta, I presently work at Comcast Corporation trying to get a xfer, but im also looking for other jobs paying more due to i will now be living by myself, as well as i now have a 2007 new car, and its not what you would call cheap per month, any suggestions, also i will be going to school part time, as well as working full time, living on my own, my background in education right now is Highschool, if I'm licky hopefully i can get something ranging from 25-30k a year, until i get my degree. I made 23 this year including overtime, bonuses, etc. Do you think this is a good move, and should i stay with the company I work for now, and are company entilted to increase your pay when you transfer for the cost or if the cost of living is higher?
You might want to stay in FL until you are done with school at least, because when you move to to a new state, you are usually considered an out of state student for a year, so it would be way more expensive to continue going to school. Also, the cost of living is higher here AND you have to pay state income tax, so unless you get a raise you will have less money to work with every month. If money is a little tight, you need to consider the cost of renting a moving truck, re-registering your car, etc.
