Flying to Eastern US-what to go see?
I'm taking my boyfriend to the US next June and need a few ideas. Last time we went to NYC and upstate New York to visit relatives, but this time I am hoping to do a little more. We still have to decide how long to go for but I am hoping two weeks. We're planning on renting a car for part of the time. So, the question is, what are your suggestions for two weeks of fun in the eastern United States for two university students?
You could try Boston and that area. Cambridge just across the River from Boston is a University town and full of great but cheap bars, places to eat shops and lots of places to look around. If you are flying in to a New York airport you could drive up the New England Coast up to Boston, really pretty. It's about a 5 hour drive plus stops. Pretty short in American terms.
Or you could try the New Jersey coast, Atlantic city is like a mini Los Vegas.
