ì have a question about shopping?
this is a question mainly for the ladies, but the guys can answer too if they wish. do you consider yourself a wise shopper?. my girlfriend and i are on a fixed income and we try to stretch our income as far as it will go. we pay attension to the prices, we shop at dollar stores, we cut coupons out of flyers and we go only when we have to. the place where we live, we dont have a department store(at least not yet), they are going to put a wal-mart here, but we have to drive 30 miles to the nearest wal-mart. when i need a part for my car, i call around for the cheapest prices and i work on my own car. i was wondering if theres anything we can do besides what were doing more to save money. i know your busy with what you have to do, so if iam bothering you, iam sorry, i was just looking for answers on how do any of you cut corners to make ends meet?. thanks for your time, i appreciate you taking time out to answer my question! do you splurge or are you a wise shopper? thanks again.
Do you have auto salvage yards in your area? Since you apparently know mechanics. Depending on the auto part you need, sometimes one is able to find parts at such a place at a good price. It does sound as tho you are a good shopper. The only other thing I can think of is, what about taking stuff (that's usable) you no longer want to a 2nd hand store to sell
for you. It's better than simply throwing such things away. Thus it's a win-win situation for all parties. There are many small things that one does in their daily life, which add up over time.
