How can changing a petrol filter cause the car to overheat?
I took my 1998 Ford Fiesta Flair to the Ford dealer, because it started having troubles. It jerked for the first 2-3 minutes in the morning, thereafter it was fine.
They changed the fuel filter, and took the car for a test drive around the block. Before completing this trip, the car overheated to the red zone on the thermometer. They have tested the thermometer, and it works. The guy doesn't have a clue what can be wrong.
Please advise, as I am now so angry I can breastfeed a baby crocodile (and I'm a guy)
It shouldn't unless it improved fuel flow enough to make the car run right and now other problems are coming up. could be a sensor or a gauge.. Even though they've test the thermostat, I'd flush the anti-freeze and change the thermostat in the cooling system..
