Ford Launches Brand New Fiesta
Ford has unleashed the new edition of its mid-size New Fiesta, the U.S. carmaker's 1st among eight units that will launch by 2015. The high level sedan that comes with newest safety, entertainment and comfort features will be unveiled in July this fiscal. Ford India President & Managing Director Mr. Michael Boneham told that the new 2011 Fiesta will be segment-leading manufactured goods in India with intuitive top-in-class stylish features & fuel economy that increases the bar every way.
The vehicle will be produced in the company's Chennai facility has a production capabiliity of 2 lakh vehicle on three shift basis & 2.5 lakh engines each year. Even Mr. Boneham didn't disclose the sedan's terms he said the Ford Fiesta includes modern, fuel-efficient engines that deliver excellent power, top-leading fuel economy & reduced emission. Powered by current top-of-the-line TD-i diesel and Ti-VCT petrol engine developed specially for India, the new car delivers outstanding handling in the city as well as on the highways, without sacrificing its really sporty character.
The car also come with cruise control that adds to relax of driving & is first for its segment. To develop the excitement before its depart Ford has recognized sole ‘Fiesta Café' in Select Citywalk shopping mall in Saket in Delhi where it has made digital ambience & is holding various actions tempting visitors to see, touch & experience the vehicle that has clocked above 10 lakh sales worldwide. Mr. Boneham also said that they have raised the prices of its compact vehicle Figo by 1 percent to lessen the impact of growing commodity rates. The impact of growing commodity rates is there & the company is assessing equal steps on other vehicles as well. Talking about Ford's sales, the Executive Director (Marketing, Sales & Service) Nigel E. Wark told that the industry is likely to rise approximately 15 percent this year.
