Some brave souls have dared to suggest that the main reason for increased premiums is not the fees that solicitors charge for accident compensation cases or any of the factors given above.Rather, it’s down to the lack of genuine competition in the insurance market.You may believe that you are insuring with one of the hundreds of providers thrown up by the comparison websites, but in reality all those apparently independent brand names are owned by the same few companies. Perhaps if there was genuine competition the premiums might come back down?
