1st Time Driver Car Help!!?
I take my driving test next year, yes a while away but parents told me that they are going to buy me a car for my 17th birthday so have been looking around. Here are 3 of the cars I would like to get:
1. Citroen Saxo hatchback

My dad's good with cars so can get them, but I need to pay for the insurance so need help.
I don't want to spend more than a grand on insurance a year so would really like help on what good insurance is best to use and in my price limit. 1ST TIME DRIVER!!
Please help.
I was going to have my dad's old Volkswagen Gold GTI 1.8 turbo, But it costs alot of money to insure due to it being a turbo engine
The best thing you can do is to test drive them and see which one you prefer. Don't let anyone else influence you afterall you have to drive it. What I would sugget is that you get the details of the cars you like and get quotes for each of them based on your circumstances. E.g. your age, driving expereince (however limited) and where you live. Try to avoid car that have extras such as turbos or High performance cars. The bigest problem is running costs, you sould also consider these such as repair bills as they can also be expensive
As for insurance try the specalist insurers for young drivers
